Many of us feel stuck from time to time in our lives.
Feeling stuck is soooooo common when we roll into our midlife transition years. You know, milestone birthdays, 40s and 50s, perimenopause and menopause.
We’ve been told that it’s a time of great opportunity.
That doors can be opened that we never thought possible.
We’re supposed to have more time.
More stable finances.
Older, more self-sufficient kids.
Hmmm…it’s hard to fathom opportunity when you’re so deep in the muck that you can’t see it just yet.
Women in their early 40s are stuck too. It’s common these days to still have young children in your 40s. These moms are as frazzled as ever. Their kids are still small and their debt is high.
My clients tell me they want something more, something different, something better.
They don’t feel “present.”
They are just going through the motions.
They sense they aren’t living up to their potential.
They crave making more of a meaningful contribution somehow.
They think they should be doing more.
And these thoughts are all part of the mind muck they are experiencing.
This type of thinking creates feelings like frustration and overwhelm.
They feel stagnant.
And they are really tired of feeling this way.
That’s why they contact a Midlife Coach. That’s why they contact me.
Something shook them up. They realized that life is short. They want things to change. They don’t want to have regrets.
They know in their heart of hearts that things CAN be different.
But can’t do it on their own.
Change can be hard. But we have all done hard things.
The trick is making YOURSELF a priority.
Even though it feels indulgent.
Even though it brings up a lot of stuff. And even though it’s scary to own what’s going on in your life.
It’s time. And you know it.
How about a baby step?
