Today’s episode is about the joys and challenges of coming out later in life.
My interview is with two women who both realized something about themselves after long term marriages and children.
My guests are Anne-Marie Zanzal and Barbara Rowlandson; they are the team from Lotus Group Coaching and they both came out later in life as lesbians.
Anne-Marie was 52 and Barb was 46 when they came out. No, they are not a couple but work colleagues. Anne-Marie is a graduate of Yale Divinity School, an ordained minister in the progressive United Church of Christ, a hospice chaplain, a bereavement counselor, a coming out expert, and a divorce coach.
Barbara Rowlandson is an author, coach, producer, and content strategist with Anne-Marie Zanzal Coaching. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto and currently earning a Master of Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is also a Humanist Officiant with the Ontario Humanist Society, providing Humanist life services in the Simcoe County, Muskoka, and Kawartha Lakes regions of Ontario, Canada.
Anne-Marie and Barb have used their experiences as later in life lesbians to help thousands of women come out and embrace their authentic ideas through Anne-Marie’s podcast Coming Out & Beyond, coaching, and prodigious content production about the later in life experience.
