Welcome to another episode of the Women in the Middle Podcast

Today’s episode is all about your mindset power when you’re on your midlife vacation. It’s easy to feel safe once your vacation starts. Unfortunately, this isn’t always true. I experienced this firsthand on a recent sailing trip in Antigua.

In midlife, “things” like health problems are more likely to happen. You might have just been diagnosed with something or are perhaps recovering from something. You might be caring for your elderly parents or maybe dealing with your kids leaving home. You could be preparing to retire or recently retired. Or maybe you’re leaving a long-term job or becoming an entrepreneur. Lots of transitions, lots of challenges, and lots of courage are common at this time of life.

And then, there’s what can happen when you’re on your vacation. You could have an allergic reaction to something like a bug bite or sting. You could fall and get hurt. The list goes on.

Even though a lot of the “stuff” is unpredictable, you still have some control: your mindset. You can decide in advance how you’re going to experience your vacation when it comes to things like this. Developing the skill to think on purpose is life-changing!
